Yale’s London website is shortlisted for the Bookseller’s Futurebook Digital Innovation Awards

Yale University Press London’s website (yalebooks.co.uk), has been nominated for a Futurebook Digital Innovation Award, in the ‘best website’ category.

Yalebooks.co.uk is the newly-designed official website for Yale University Press, London- promoting and selling the full list of Yale titles to the UK, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Australia and New Zealand. Yesterday Futurebook, the Bookseller’s digital blog, announced the shortlist for its Digital Innovation Awards, and Yale’s website was selected for the ‘best website’ category.

The Futurebook awards seek to recognise innovation from across the book trade, with a range of digital categories including ‘best digital marketing campaign’, ‘best startup’ and ‘best app’. The judges for the ‘best website’ category, which include representatives from top publishers and technology firms, are looking for a ‘well-conceived website that, through great design, usability and best practice in online community have engaged its audience’.

The award ceremony will take place on 5 December as part of the FutureBook 2011 conference. Fingers crossed…
